Dim sums in this 1 star Michelin restaurant cost HKD$38 only! What do we think 👇🏻
Yat Tung Heen has been offering this HKD$38 since last year and I finally went to the restaurant last week. I booked the restaurant a week in advance and went there at 11am. The time slot for each session is 1.5 hour so it could be quite rush when compared to typical morning family Yum Cha that you also spend some time reading newspaper and chat with your family members. But it is a very spacious and relaxing place for dim sums.
2 of us went there and have ordered 4 kinds of dim sums. The sizes of dim sums are smaller than those you find in other Chinese restaurants. All are of bite-size. For the minced beef dumpling, I prefer one of bigger size.
The restaurant is famous for its Barbecue pork (Char Siu). At the time we wanted to order it, we found that we have already ordered Char Siu Rice Rolls and Char Siu bun, so we will leave it to next time.
Half of the dim sums on the menu cost HKD$38 and half of them costs HKD$48. There are 3 deluxe selections that cost HKD$68 per piece, including Steamed Fresh Lobster dumplings 龍蝦餃皇，Baked Chicken Puff Pastry with Whole Abalone 原隻鮑魚雞粒酥 and Steamed seafood dumpling in soup with Birdnest and Conpoy 燕窩瑤柱海皇灌湯餃
What did we order? (All are HKD$38)
- Barbecue pork bun 叉燒包
- Barbecue pork rice roll 叉燒腸 (forgot to take a photo of it, the last photo is our only rice roll photo 🌝)
- Shrimp dumplings (Har Gow) 蝦餃
- Minced beef dumplings 牛肉球
How much did we spend? HKD$228 for 2 (including service charge and tea & sauce 茶芥)

CHESSY CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM PUFF
1 peket puff Pastry jenama Kawan
1/2 peket isi ayam
3 batang sosej
1 biji bwg holland (potong dadu)
3 ulas bwg putih (dicincang)
Sedikit capsicum hijau & merah (potong dadu)
1/2 cwn susu segar
1 tin soup campbell (tin kecil)
1 sdb serbuk lada hitam
Sedikit garam
Sedikit butter
Sedikit keju mozarella/cheese slice
Egg wash (kuning telur+ sedikit air/susu)
Cara -
Panaskn butter tumiskan bwg, da layu msukkan isi ayam dn sosej
Bila da masak masukkn sup campbell, susu segar, garam sedikit
Masukkn lada hitam, capsicum dan perasakan
Masak hingga pekat dan tutup api
Sediakn puff pastry, letakkan inti atas puff dan sedikit cheese
Kelar bahagian atasnya dgn pisau
Tutup puff, guna garfu tekankan tepi puff hingga habis (rujuk gmbr)
Letakkan dlm dulang pembakar dan sapukan egg wash
Panaskan oven suhu 180 dan bakar selama 25- 30 minit

兩件份量 Serve2
三文魚柳 2 Salmon Fillets
忌廉芝士 60g Cream Cheese
蒜頭 2cloves Garlic
洋蔥 1/4 Onion
白酒 40g White Wine
菠菜 75g Spinach
麵包糠 7g Breadcrumbs
巴馬臣芝士 15g Parmesan Cheese
酥皮 2 Puff Pastry
雞蛋 1 Egg
鹽 Salt
黑椒 Blackpepper
1.洋蔥及蒜頭去皮切碎備用
2.炒香洋蔥及蒜頭
3.洋蔥變半透明後加入白酒稍
4.轉細火加入忌廉芝士,菠菜,巴馬臣芝士及麵包糠拌勻,盛起備用
5.三文魚柳表面撒上少許鹽及黑椒
6.酥皮稍為放軟
7.三文魚放在酥皮中間，鋪上約一半份量的芝士菠菜
8.四面塗抹蛋漿,切去多餘酥皮
9.酥皮包裹三文魚,兩邊酥皮擀平後切去多餘部分再向內摺
10.反轉放在焗盤上
11.塗抹蛋漿後輕輕?花
12.以200℃焗25-30分鐘即成,中途轉180°令顏色更均勻
